Contract

Unless there are some special conditions, which prevent our customer from doing so, we are enclosing a written contract that further details the scope and conditions of the delivery.

Project Validation

Electrical and dimensional drawings and eventually other relevant documents are submitted to the customer within 1 – 3 months after order. The purpose of the customer approval is to make sure that the HSDL electrical and software interfaces to customer technologies, as well as mechanical dimensions are suited to the customer. Recommended spare parts price list and special tools price list are also provided at this step. After the customer approves the documents, the manufacturing is started in our facility. After successful validation the customer receives an invoice for 30% of the total HSDL price. Then the manufacturing is started in our facility in Ostrava, Czech Republic.

Factory Acceptance

The manufacturing phase typically takes about 2 – 4 months. After the HSDL is assembled and calibrated, the customer is invited to witness the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) at the ELCOM facility in Ostrava, Czech Republic. This test is performed according to a written procedure prepared by ELCOM. Third party inspection can be invited by the customer.

Shipping

Following the FAT the HSDL is packaged and shipped to an address designated by the customer. Unless agreed otherwise, the packaged HSDL is made ready for EXW pickup on our facility cargo ramp. After successful pickup, the customer receives an invoice for 60% of the total HSDL price.

On-Site Installation and Commissioning

After receiving the HSDL, the customer installs and connects the HSDL to all signals and power supplies according to provided installation manual. Then ELCOM engineer(s) are coming to supervise power-up of the HSDL, which is a prerequisite to warranty held by ELCOM. Successful power-up marks the beginning of test operation. The customer receives an invoice for travel and work after the successful power-up mission.

Test Period

At the end of the successful test period the customer receives final as-build documentation and an invoice for the remaining 10% of the HSDL price. The test period usually lasts several weeks longer than HSDL buffer depth time to make sure the HSDL starts overwriting the old data after disk capacity is reached. For example for a 30 days buffer the test period would be 6 weeks.
